The Peak Dry Shell is Montbell's rainproof jacket that takes the waterproof breathable membrane that is normally on the inside of the jacket and puts it on the outer layer of the jacket. This construction in combination with GORE-TEX Shake Dry, creates a surface fabric that doesn't retain water, meaning that it won't get heavy by absorbing rain and the jacket dries exceptionally quickly. It also boasts excellent breathability, helping keeping you dry and comfortable even when you’re active. It demonstrates its true value on missions that don't require heavy packs like light mountain climbing and speed hikes.

Since this product is designed to be as lightweight and compact as possible, it is made using very lightweight materials. When the fabric is stressed, it is possible for the membrane to darken the appearance of the outer fabric. However, this has no effect on the membrane's waterproof performance.

This product is made without a face fabric, uniquely constructed with the waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX® membrane as the outer layer.
To avoid exposing the outer layer to friction, keep the backpack as lightweight as possible, as it may cause shining of fabric. Furhter damage may cause fabric rip and water penetration. Do NOT place this product near sharp objects or apply excessive force.
