Tips from X-Boundaries
- A T-grip is a different tool from a pair of trekking poles. One pole, palm resting on top, used mainly for balance and to take load off the knees on descents — popular with walkers and with anyone managing a sore knee.
- The anti-shock springs earn their keep on hard-packed descents and paved sections. On soft ground you will barely notice them.
- Aluminium rather than carbon: heavier at 240g, but it bends before it breaks and it costs less. For a single walking pole that is usually the right trade.
- Twist-lock adjusts anywhere between 80 and 100cm — shorter for climbing, longer for descending. That adjustability is exactly what the fixed-length Carbon Folding Poles give up in exchange for weight.

Day-pack and travel kits, emergency-preparedness bags, multi-day trips.
Care
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Store dry between uses. If the pole starts slipping under load, the stoppers inside the shaft are usually worn or full of grit — they are a cheap replacement part.
