Technical Systems
4-way Stretch: Made of a material that has vertical and horizontal stretch. Excellent mobility for intense activities.
Face Guard Zip: A flap protects your chin and face from direct contact with the zipper.
Material Information
This product is made using a material that has an excellent ability to stretch. Due to the material's construction, in some situations it can be damaged by friction. Avoid contact with high friction surfaces such as Velcro or nylon straps.
Tips from X-Boundaries
- The hood is the reason to choose this over the non-hooded Trail Action. It pulls up as a balaclava, which means one garment covers the head, neck and face gap that usually needs two.
- At 367g it is the warmest fleece in the Trail Action range — 23g more than the non-hooded version, almost all of it in the hood.
- Wear it under a shell, not over. The smooth face is engineered to slide, and a hooded fleece under a hooded shell is the standard cold-weather stack.
- Montbell warns this stretch fabric can be damaged by friction. Keep Velcro and nylon pack straps off it where you can.

This is to replace what I’d lost on a recent trip. The goretex works very well, shielded me from sudden downpour. The cap is also very fitted for me, not all caps can do. Though the price here in SG is $20 more than what I got from Japan but it’s worth the buy!
