Minimal use of plastic
Montbell's everyday outdoor shell, and the one that does not look like technical kit. The O.D. Anorak is cut from a matte nylon that handles like cotton — soft, no sheen — while shedding wind and light rain. As comfortable on Orchard Road as on a trail.

- Weight: 296 g (supplier reference weight)
- Fit: unisex, relaxed
- Model: 1103247
Features
- Hooded half-zip pullover
- One large zipped pocket across the front, plus two zipped hand pockets
- Hem drawcord adjustable from inside the front pockets — without taking the jacket off
- Articulated arms for reach and movement
- Adjustable alpine cuffs
- Lined collar with a zip end-guard so the slider does not sit against your chin
Care & Maintenance
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent
- No fabric softener — it coats the fibres and kills the water repellency
- Do not bleach, do not iron
- Hang to dry away from direct sunlight
- The water-repellent finish wears off with use and washing. A wash-in or spray-on DWR treatment restores it — we stock these in-store
This is our general guidance for water-repellent nylon shells. Check the care label sewn into your garment for the definitive instructions.
Tips from X-Boundaries
Be clear on what this is: water-repellent, not waterproof. It will shrug off a passing shower and cut the wind. It is not a hardshell and it will wet through in sustained rain — if that is your trip, talk to us about a waterproof shell instead.
What it is very good at is the in-between. Cool mornings, aeroplane cabins, a wind off the water, and the whole shoulder season in Japan or Korea where a hardshell is overkill and a t-shirt is not enough.
Cut unisex and relaxed. If you usually wear a slim fit it will feel generous — worth trying on, and we hold stock at both stores.
