Care Instructions

  • Cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents that could cloud the clear plastic faces of the instruments.

  • Check for Bubbles: In extreme cold or high altitudes, a small bubble may appear in the liquid-filled compass. This is normal and should disappear once the unit returns to room temperature and sea level.

  • Avoid High Heat: Do not leave the unit on a hot car dashboard or near a direct heat source (like a stove), as extreme heat can cause the liquid inside to expand and potentially leak.

  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from strong magnets to maintain the compass's polarization.

This is to replace what I’d lost on a recent trip. The goretex works very well, shielded me from sudden downpour. The cap is also very fitted for me, not all caps can do. Though the price here in SG is $20 more than what I got from Japan but it’s worth the buy!
