Stretchy, durable three-layer pants built for snow sports performance. The waterproof, highly breathable SUPER DRY-TEC shell uses a friction-weave face fabric to shed snow and hold its shape through long days out, and a 1,260-denier Ballistic nylon edge guard protects the inside hem where ski edges and crampons do the most damage. Suited to backcountry skiing, snowboarding and cold-weather mountain days.

Inseam options: "-S" is 6 cm shorter and "-L" is 6 cm longer than the standard inseam, so you can match your leg length without altering the hem.
Care & Maintenance
A waterproof shell needs washing more often than most people think. Dirt, sunscreen and body oils clog the face fabric and stop it breathing long before the membrane itself gives up.
- Wash with a technical wash made for waterproof garments — never ordinary laundry liquid, and never fabric softener or bleach. Both leave a residue that kills water repellency
- Close every zip and fasten the belt before washing, and wash the pants on their own
- Rinse twice so no detergent is left in the fabric
- Heat is what revives the beading. Tumble dry on low, or press with a warm iron through a cloth — never directly on zips, seam tape or printed labels
- When water soaks in rather than beading up, re-proof with a wash-in or spray-on DWR treatment. That means the finish has worn, not that the garment is finished
- Rinse off salt, grit and slush after use — the hem and edge guard take the worst of it
Storing them in Singapore
Our humidity is harder on a technical shell than the cold ever is. Mould marks the fabric, and damp shortens the life of the waterproof laminate.
- Never put them away damp, and never leave them compressed in the stuff sack between trips
- Air them fully after every trip, then hang them in a ventilated wardrobe — not a sealed box, not a vacuum bag
- Unpack the day you land home rather than the week after

Tips from X-Boundaries
Get the inseam right — it is the most common sizing mistake on Montbell alpine pants. We stock S, M, L, XL and XXL in the standard inseam, plus L-L and XL-L which run 6 cm longer. The waist is unchanged; only the leg length differs. If a standard length has ever pooled over your boot, take the -L.
This is a snow-sports cut, so the hem is deliberately wide enough to sit over a ski boot and the edge guard is generous. That is exactly what you want on skis, and slightly more fabric than you need for a summer trek.
Try them on with the boots you will actually ski in, and with your base layer on. Ten minutes in the shop is cheaper than a return from Hokkaido.
