Tips from X-Boundaries

• Size 4 is the keyring size — 25 × 40mm, 5g, disappears in a pocket. Size 6 is the middle ground. Size 7 at 45 × 72mm is the one that clips a water bottle or a pouch to a pack strap.
• Aluminium will not rust in Singapore humidity the way a plated steel clip does. That is the practical reason to spend more than a hardware-shop equivalent.
• The flat profile catches on less than a round clip — it does not snag on a jacket pocket when you pull your keys out, and it does not chew webbing on a pack strap.
• Buy two sizes. The second one lives on the bag you did not plan to take.
