Montbell's Superior Down Parka is the warmest piece in the Superior range, built around 800 fill power EX Down with a 70 g fill and an insulated hood. The shell is 10-denier Ballistic Airlight nylon ripstop with a water-repellent finish — light enough to pack into its own stuff sack, robust enough for daily travel use.

At a supplier reference weight of 239 g it works as a standalone layer in air-conditioning and on aircraft, and as a mid-layer under a shell on cold-weather treks. Single-layer quilted construction keeps bulk down and packs flat in hand luggage.
