Technical Systems
4-way Stretch: Made of a material that has vertical and horizontal stretch. Excellent mobility for intense activities.
Face Guard Zip: A flap protects your chin and face from direct contact with the zipper.
Material Information
This product is made using a material that has an excellent ability to stretch. Due to the material's construction, in some situations it can be damaged by friction. Avoid contact with high friction surfaces such as Velcro or nylon straps.
Tips from X-Boundaries
- The hood is what separates this from the non-hooded Trail Action — worth the 25g if you spend time stationary in the cold, at belays, viewpoints or waiting for transport.
- A stretch fleece earns its place when you are working hard in the cold. For standing still all day, insulation beats fleece.
- The smooth face is designed to layer under a shell. Buy it as a mid-layer, not as your outer.
- Asian sizing runs smaller than European or US. If you are between sizes or unsure, come in and try one — we hold stock at both stores.
- Montbell warns this stretch fabric can be damaged by friction. Avoid Velcro and nylon pack straps rubbing on it.

This is to replace what I’d lost on a recent trip. The goretex works very well, shielded me from sudden downpour. The cap is also very fitted for me, not all caps can do. Though the price here in SG is $20 more than what I got from Japan but it’s worth the buy!
