Installation & Maintenance
To ensure your newly installed stoppers function perfectly and last for miles to come:
- Installation: Completely unscrew and pull apart the shafts of your pole. Remove the old, worn stoppers and thread the new color-coded ones onto the internal mechanisms (Blue = Middle, Orange = Lower).
- Cleaning: Before reassembling the pole, use a dry cloth or a long, dry brush to thoroughly clean out any dirt, carbon dust, or grit from the inside of the pole shafts.
- Lubrication Warning: Do NOT apply oil, WD-40, or any lubricants to the stoppers or the inside of the carbon pole shafts. Lubricants will completely ruin the twist-lock mechanism, causing it to slip under your weight.
