A balaclava for hard work in cold weather. Stretch CLIMAPLUS with a smooth outer face that sheds snow and slides under a helmet, and a brushed inner face that adds warmth and moves moisture away from your skin.

Getting the size right
Sizes are head circumference. Measure round the head just above the ears: S/M covers 54–58cm, M/L covers 57–61cm. If you are between, size up — a tight balaclava pulls at the face when you turn your head.
Tips from X-Boundaries
- The smooth face is the reason to buy this one. A fleece balaclava grabs at a helmet liner and bunches; this slides, which matters every time you take a helmet on or off.
- Same Stretch CLIMAPLUS as the Trail Action fleece range, so it layers with them without adding bulk at the neck.
- At 61g it is a genuine cold-weather piece rather than a token one. For milder conditions the Trail Light Balaclava is 8g lighter and less warm.
- Montbell warns this stretch fabric can be damaged by friction. Keep it away from Velcro on jacket collars.

This is to replace what I’d lost on a recent trip. The goretex works very well, shielded me from sudden downpour. The cap is also very fitted for me, not all caps can do. Though the price here in SG is $20 more than what I got from Japan but it’s worth the buy!
