Tips from X-Boundaries
- The nose insert is the whole reason to choose this over a plain balaclava. If you wear glasses or goggles, fogging is the thing that ruins a cold day, and a shaped nose bridge is the only fix that works.
- The ZEO-LINE mouth panel is there because that is where a balaclava gets damp and starts to smell. Quick-drying and anti-bacterial where it counts.
- 53g and midweight — 8g lighter and less warm than the Trail Action Balaclava. This is the one for active days; that one for genuinely cold ones.
- Sizes are S/M and M/L. If you are between, size up; a tight balaclava pulls the nose insert out of position.

This is to replace what I’d lost on a recent trip. The goretex works very well, shielded me from sudden downpour. The cap is also very fitted for me, not all caps can do. Though the price here in SG is $20 more than what I got from Japan but it’s worth the buy!
