- ​Cleaning: After hiking in rain, mud, or dusty conditions, unlock the cams and pull the pole sections completely apart. Wipe each section down with a clean, dry cloth.
- ​Drying: Allow the disassembled sections to air dry completely before putting the pole back together. Storing wet aluminum poles can cause oxidation (a white powdery buildup) that makes the sections stick together.
