A sun-and-rain umbrella at 137g. The polyester canopy blocks heat and light, and a coated dark underside cuts the glare that bounces up off pavement — the reason a black-backed parasol feels cooler than a pale one. Hydrophobic finish keeps it taut in rain rather than sagging.

Tips from X-Boundaries
- This is the Singapore umbrella. Sun and rain in the same afternoon is the normal case here, and a UPF 50+ canopy with a dark underside handles both without you carrying two things.
- The dark interior is not cosmetic. A light-lined parasol reflects glare up into your face off wet pavement; this one absorbs it.
- 22g lighter and 50cm rib against the 55 — smaller coverage, notably more packable. If it lives in a handbag, take the 50; if it is your only umbrella, take the 55.
- Hang it by the tip loop to dry. Folding a damp umbrella away is what rots the canopy coating.
